Research interests:

– Interstellar and circunstellar media.
– Submillimeter wave instrumentation and software development.
– Earth atmosphere remote sensing.
– Solar system objects.
– Mm-submm observations and radiative transfer models.

Main facilities used:
IRAM-30m, Caltech Submillimeter Observatory, ARIES-40m, Kitt Peak 12m.

Main software developments:
Atmospheric transmission at microwaves (ATM) model, now part of the official ALMA software.

Positions:

  • Research staff member at CSIC (2007-present).
  • Several contracts at CSIC including a Ramón y Cajal tenure-track (2001-2007).
  • Post-doc at NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (New York, USA) and the California Institute of Technology (Pasadena, USA) (1997-2000)
